Lynley Cannon, star of the Crazy Cat Lady cozy mystery series, is often referred to as a crazy cat lady herself, but when it comes to the feline species, she knows her stuff. Check here each Friday for instructive and intriguing information on our favorite subject: cats.

When a cat hisses, he’s trying to tell you something. It’s important to discern whether he is being defensive, aggressive, or frightened. A defensive or aggressive cat may attack; a frightened cat, unless cornered, would prefer to run away. ~Cat’s Paw, chapter 24

Check out more of Lynley’s kitty tips, tricks, and facts preceding each chapter in Cats’ Eyes, Copy Cats, and Cat’s Paw.

About Mollie Hunt

I am the crazy cat lady, animal shelter volunteer, Trekkie, and mystery writer. I live in the rainy Pacific Northwest and will watch any TV show or movie filmed here. Even though I am of a goodly age (sixty-something) I go to Star Trek conventions in costume and am not afraid to be by myself. I enjoy my life in the cat lane. Words to live by: Spay and neuter; Live long and prosper; Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference.

That illustration is furr-tastic! That kitty doesn’t look like he is one to mess with! My neighbor kitty hisses at me, but I think she’s just playing hard to get ’cause she comes to my front door often. Mew Mew.

I like the illustration too. Though he’s sweet as pie, my new kitty, Tyler, hisses at times. We think it’s because he doesn’t hear well and is surprised. Little hisses at Tyler when she wants him to play.
